how Kanda thinks he’d fare in a real T-virus outbreak. “When you work on a game
like this, you do simulate what it would feel like to fi ght a zombie thousands of times over in your head,” he says. “So I’m confi dent I would survive in a world fi lled with zombies!” That’s the kind of positive
attitude you need for a project this ambitious. By staying reverent to the original, but not
being afraid to make huge changes too, Kanda’s team have crafted something unique. Who knew – despite everything the series has taught us over the years, something coming back from the dead can be a good thing after all.
